Q. What do you like most about your job? ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de tu trabajo? 

A. Going beyond a guest’s expectation and watching the joy emanate from them. / Ir más allá de las expectativas de los socios y ver como se llenan de alegría

Q. What do you like the most about your resort? ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de tu hotel?

A. The Grounds. It’s absolutely beautiful and everything is central. / Los alrededores. Es absolutamente hermoso y todo está centrado.

Q. How do you make sure that our members’ vacations are so special? ¿Qué haces para que las vacaciones de los socios sean especiales?

A. It’s all about the follow up/through. Once a member request something, it’s about ensuring that this task is done. Some members are more reserved so its about anticipating what their desires could possibly be and executing. / Lo más importante es dar un seguimiento correcto. Una vez que el socio solicite algo, es necesario asegurarse que la tarea se cumpla. Algunos socios son más reservados, por lo que es importante anticipar sus necesidades de la mejor manera para que pueda ejecutarse.

Q. Do you have any specific stories involving members you would like to share? ¿Alguna anécdota de algún socio que desees compartir?

A. Once a member was celebrating a special occasion, but they just wouldn’t leave the room so we could set up a surprise. I knew the member wanted some souvenirs so once the local artisans were on property; I used the opportunity to call her and lure them from the room. Once the member was out the room the team popped in and started to execute the surprise, half way in we heard the door opening. We just shouted surprise!!! It turned out the member was so excited to shop that they left their wallet. / Una vez unos socios estaban celebrando una ocasión especial, pero nunca dejaron la habitación para poder prepararles una sorpresa. Sabía que los socios querían algunos souvenirs entonces cuando el artesano local llegó a la propiedad; tuve la oportunidad de llamarles y así hacer que salieran de la habitación. Una vez que los socios habían salido, el equipo se reunió inmediatamente y comenzamos a preparar su sorpresa, estábamos justo a la mitad cuando escuchamos que la puerta se abría. Todos gritamos ¡Sorpresa! Resulta que habían regresado rápido a la habitación porque de la emoción de irse de compras, habían dejado la billetera en la habitación.

Q. What do you like to do in your free time? ¿Qué te gusta hacer en tus tiempos libres?

A. Watch Hallmark movies, go to dinner or explore nature in the outdoors. / Ver películas de Hallmark, salir a cenar y explorar la naturaleza y alrededores

Q. What do you like the most about Montego Bay? ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de Montego Bay?

A. Going out to dinner, the restaurant options are great. / Ir a cenar, la oferta gastronómica de los restaurantes es excelente

Q. What do you think is the one thing people must see/do/visit when visiting Montego Bay? ¿Qué lugares y actividades recomendarías a los socios conocer o hacer cuando visitan Montego Bay?

A. Mobay is all about the city night life, so for day time activities I recommend two attractions in surrounding parishes. Dunn’s River Falls in St. Ann & Chukka Good Hope in Trelawny. / Montego Bay es la ciudad de la vida nocturna, yo recomendaría dos atracciones en las áreas cercanas al hotel. Dunn’s River Falls en St. Ann y Chukka Good Hope en Trelawny.

Q. What is your favorite life/motivational quote and/or phrase? ¿Cuál es tu cita o frase motivacional favorita?

A. Nuh mek sense yuh tek spoon wuk it and tek shuffle dash it weh (A little patois in your life). Translation Don’t take a spoon to work on achieving something and then take a shuffle to waste it. It’s all about being wise and managing things attained. / Nuh mek sense yuh tek spoon wuk it and tek shuffle dash it weh (Un poco de Patuá, dialecto Jamaiquino). Se traduce como: No uses una cuchara para lograr algo y luego usar una pala para arruinarlo. Lo importante es ser sabio y manejar las cosas correctamente.
